Mute Dance
Designer Yu Qun graduated from Lumei Culture International Fashion Institute majoring in fashion design and patterning in 2017 and founded Mute dance the same year. Mute Dance means silent dance with a sense of romance and tender resistance. Yu Qun believes that everyone's character is multi-faceted and expressing spiritual independence. Fine hand-stitched threads, old mottled colours and patterns, and unconventional cuts are what Mute Dance has been exploring. The leaves and stems of fresh plants and berries, dried medicinal materials, old metals and so on are combined with the ancient and traditional dyeing technology to dye fabrics and paper. Silk, wool, cotton and linen are the most commonly used fabrics offering a return to nature which is the charm of Mute Dance.
