Marko Baković

Marko Baković is a visionary footwear designer and the creative force behind Baković Studio, based in Amsterdam. He studied product design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie before earning a Master’s in Footwear Design from the London College of Fashion. Raised in the Netherlands with Bosnian heritage, Baković draws inspiration from tradition and his own roots. His work blurs the line between craft and innovation, combining analogue handcrafting with digital techniques to produce sculptural, experimental shoes. Baković’s design philosophy emphasizes sustainability, experimentation, and material innovation. In his Amsterdam-based lab, he refines form and silhouette through a process that values both heritage craft and forward-thinking methods.
