C2H4
Born in Shanghai, C2H4 designer Yixi Chen moved to LA in 2011 to study film and theatre production. Her love for cinema and science-fiction culture generated an interest in garment and textile design pushed her into creating C2H4 in 2014. The Brand name comes from "Ethylene", which is an Homophone of "Yixi" in Chinese. C2H4 concept ranges from hypothetical space scientists producing sport and streetwear-inspired designs creating an intergalactic underground culture. Using her studio as a laboratory, Chen’s meticulously elevates wardrobe cornerstones like sci-fi-inspired graphics and logos t-shirts, hoodies with bungee-drawstrings and into space-age casualwear with contrast piping and 3M reflective elements.
