Viv Lee creates ceramics inspired by the beautiful irregularity of nature. Rather than seeking perfect symmetry in her work, Viv looks to organic forms embracing the imperfect. Each piece is a unique work of art, which also serves a functional purpose as seen with the Sympoiesis IV Medium Dark Stone.

Sculptural vessel made from grogged pink stoneware clay using a press mould technique. Hand painted layers of glaze gives a mottled stoney-lichen effect with diverse tones coming from the glaze’s interaction with the iron rich clay body. Internally the vessel is also glazed. Due to the clay composition and handmade process, each piece will have slight variations in form, surface and colour.

Care: vessels are watertight but place on a protected surface if used to hold water. Due to the coarse grog clays used, take care when placing on surfaces that may scratch easily. Clean by hand with soft sponge and mild detergent.
