"Cultural Historical Sustainability" with a foundation of Japanese aestheticism, Wabi-Sabi and Mono-No-Aware, Chiahung Su's garments are inspired by the beauty of impermanence and imperfection. The fabrics and dyes used in his creations are almost entirely natural, with Japanese vintage fabrics and traditional handwoven textiles from Taiwan's indigenous tribes honouring traditional artisanal techniques passed down through generations as seen with Daitote Small Glazed Matt Brown.

Chiahung Su’s recent opening of a pottery atelier in early 2024 marks a new chapter in his creative evolution, blending the tactile artistry of clay with his fashion design practice. This fusion is most evident in his debut collection of handmade ceramic perfume bottles and ceramic buttons, all crafted in his atelier.

The introduction of pottery-based perfumes highlights Su’s versatility as an artist and his dedication to elevating every facet of his designs—from garments to the olfactory experience. The handcrafted nature of these pieces brings an intimate, artisanal quality, a rarity in today’s fast-paced fashion industry.
